Selection Criteria}

Select Geographic Search Criteria

The first step in creating a saturation mailing list is deciding how how broad of a search you want to conduct. After you have conducted the search, regardless of which method you choose, you will be presented with the total possible addresses from your search. You can enter a number less that the total addresses found to create a random sampling within the geographic criteria you selected.

Available Options (from most specific to most general):

Distance From a Specific Location - choose this option to enter a specific location (i.e. street address) from which to start the search. ZIPM will generate a geographic map to allow you to further refine your selection.
Zip Code(s) - choose this option to select a zip code (or zip codes) in which to conduct the search. While mutliple zip codes can be used, they must all reside in the same state.
City - choose this option to select a city (or cities) and state in which to conduct the search. While mutliple cities can be used, they must all reside in the same state.
County - choose this option to select a county in which to conduct the search.

Lists Available

Depending upon your User Level, you may have multiple mailing lists to choose from for your search. The Basic User Level gives you access the the U.S. Residential List of 98,000,000 names from which to search.

Duplicate Addresses

ZIPM.com keeps a record of all your previous mailings. You can choose to prevent ZIPM from using any addresses you have previously mailed to by selecting to either restrict the use of duplicates within a certain time frame, or to not mail to duplicate addresses at all.
The default setting is to allow ZIPM to mail to households you have mailed to previously.
This setting does not affect duplicate addresses appearing within the same mailing, such as two different names at the same mailing address. The ZIPM Demographic Database does not contain any duplicate name/address combinations, however if you upload your own list, you may have duplicates.

Distance From a Specific Location (Top of Page)

Start Address

Enter the street address of the from which to center your search
If the exact street address cannot be located in our database, the search will be centered on the Zip code.

Search Radius

Using the drop-down menu, select how large of a search to conduct, starting from the Start Address and expanding outward in a circle.
The search radius can range from 1/4 mile to 20 miles

Geographic Map Selection (Top of Page)

After you have selected your search criteria, ZIPM will create a geographic map that allows you to further refine your mailing list. The map is broken down into a numbered grid. Next to the map is a table with corresponding numbers, checkboxes, and counts for each map section.

Click in the box next to the corresponding number to select that section of the map for your mailing. If you want to use all sections, click on "Select All" at the bottom of the table.
To recenter the map, click on the directional arrows (N, S, E, W) surrounding the map.
To change the zoom factor, click on the corresponding search radius on the Search Radius bar, located above the map.
If you want a different starting address, type the new address in the "Select Delivery Areas" section above the map and click the "New Address" button and a new map will be generated.
